The Polish military has issued a ban, barring Chinese-made vehicles from entering certain military facilities over data security concerns. The army said in a statement that vehicles produced in China may be using onboard sensors and cameras to collect sensitive data.

The vehicles will still be allowed to enter military sites, but only after specific functions are disabled. The Polish officials added that other safeguards will also be implemented in each facility.

Additionally, military personnel won’t be allowed to connect their government phones to infotainment systems in China-made vehicles.

However, these restrictions do not apply to publicly accessible military facilities like hospitals, clinics, libraries, etc.

The Polish military assures that all measures are taken with NATO’s high security standards in mind and reflect other NATO members’ practices.
